WEBI finally got fed-up and studied this problem and found on the Danco 10347 lower housing the two round rubber (Non-replaceable) flaps with nipples were pushed in (Fig 1). I noticed on the internet that those parts should extend out (the nipples attached to the flaps) to hold the flaps against the two inlets (hot and cold inlet).
