WEBOct 30, 2017 · Liked 4,321 Times in 2,381 Posts. This is a classy looking commuter, just put on some racks and go. Not bad for a little over $200. Fuji bikes are good and are reasonably priced. This bike has a hi tensile steel frame and alloy wheels and components. It's a basic bike but will make a fine commuter with a rack, lights, lock, etc.

Took this on a beach on Whidbey Island last Saturday from a tour training ride, hence the full pannier setup. Currently though I am riding everyday with all four panniers as part of my training regimen.

Only con is slightly heavier weight though an all-aluminum frame and fork mitigate it. I can recommend Shimano Alfine IGH for day to day riding. Reply. 10-27-15, 10:05 PM.

WEBPretty cool. But, that might be overkill for a commuter bike but it is an option. Being in Minne-flat-opolis a single speed was plenty for me for year but now I run a 1x8 Afline IGH year round on my commuter as my old knee joints prefer a few gear options.

WEBRuns 26 or 29 inch wheels. In the picture she is wearing 26 but I have 29 as wel. Running a 48-38-26 triple and 11-34 running SRAM x9 shifters. Old tech deore hydros and some nice older xtr rotors. Slx hubs. Bars are my own custom recipe. Probably a bit nice to park outside but the nicest commuter/brevet bike I've.yet built.
