WEBReality television isn't really that appealing to people, it's just extremely, comically, insanely cheap to make compared to dramatic or story-driven shows. The people involved have no skill or ability beyond being recognizable to people in grocery store checkout lines, and thus are completely replaceable and inexpensive.
