In an effort to boost sales, Ford Motor Co. will cover the cost of a home charging station and its installation starting Tuesday through the end of the year for customers who buy or lease a new electric vehicle.

Ford is knocking down one of the largest hurdles to electric vehicle (EV) ownership. Starting October 1, with the purchase or lease of a Ford electric vehicle, customers are eligible to receive a complimentary Ford Charge Station Pro home charger and standard installation at their home.

The company says it’s simple, just buy or lease a retail Ford Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, or an E-Transit and take a complimentary home charger with you, or have it delivered.

Starting on October 1 and lasting until January 2, 2025, Ford will provide a free charger and free “standard installation” of said charger to all new F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit Van Cargo customers. This applies to those who either lease or buy the vehicle within that time frame.
