A small, grey, single-engine propeller plane landed on southbound state Highway 85 in Cupertino on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. No injuries were reported in the 7 a.m. incident, which occurred south of Stevens Creek Boulevard, near the McClellan Road overpass.

"I turned on all of my lights, the cars started to separate, there were a couple of high-speed Porsche SUVs heading my way playing chicken and I was rocking my wings to try and get everyone's attention and I had to put it down.

It all happened about 7 a.m., when the plane came down on its wheels in the southbound lanes of state Highway 85 just south of the Stevens Creek Boulevard exit, according to a statement posted on social media from the California Highway Patrol’s San Jose division.
