Another doctor is scrubbing out of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Ever since news broke that Jake Borelli and Dr. Levi Schmitt were leaving Grey’s Anatomy after almost eight seasons, fans were left with endless questions as to how Schmitt would be written out and whether he could get back together with his long lost love.

After Grey’s Anatomy said goodbye to Dr. Levi Schmitt in Thursday’s episode, Jake Borelli is revealing if a return is in his future. The actor joined the long-running ABC medical drama in a recurring role in Season 14 as part of Grey Sloan’s new crop of interns.

"It was the hardest, most stressful, scary thing I've ever done in my entire life. And I'm so glad that I did it, and I'm so glad that we got to tell this story of Levi."

Grey’s Anatomy fans were left bereft when the news of another beloved cast member’s departure hit the internet. Jake Borelli’s exit from the series as Levi Schmitt has ignited questions as to why he won’t be staying for future seasons.

"I would then be forced to talk about something that, at that point in my life, I wasn’t ready to talk about on the global level, which you can never be prepared for," the actor said.

We may not have much time to miss Grey’s Anatomy’s Jake Borelli. The actor, who scrubbed out midway through what would have been his eighth season in Thursday’s episode (recapped here), is already talking about returning to the long-running ABC drama.
