Hearst and artificial-intelligence company OpenAI struck a content-partnership deal, allowing the media company’s newspaper and domestic magazine content to be integrated into OpenAI’s products.

The Hearst Corp., one of the nation’s largest information and media companies, announced Tuesday it has become the latest major publisher to sign a content partnership with the artificial intelligence giant OpenAI.

OpenAI and Hearst Communications Inc. have struck a deal to bring content from the publisher’s suite of magazines and newspapers into chatbot ChatGPT, adding to a long list of partnerships the artificial intelligence startup has inked with media companies.
