NEW YORK (Reuters) -CVS Health, UnitedHealth Group and Cigna have asked U.S. Federal Trade Commission chair Lina Khan and commissioners Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Alvaro Bedoya to disqualify themselves from an FTC lawsuit that has accused the companies of unlawfully inflating insulin prices.

Cigna said that Khan, along with Commissioners Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Alvaro Bedoya, have made repeated and incorrect prejudgments that show bias against pharmacy-benefit managers.

The healthcare company said Chair Lina Khan, Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Commissioner Alvaro Bedoya through public statements show they have prejudged the matter at hand.

The FTC has accused units of CVS, Cigna and UnitedHealth of unfair trade practices in how they managed insulin prescriptions.
