Fatman Scoop, the rapper known for his 1999 hit 'Be Faithful' and who worked with artists such as Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey, has died.

The cause of death for Isaac Freeman III, better known as Fatman Scoop, is not yet known, according to the state chief medical examiner's office.

Fatman Scoop was performing at Hamden Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut, when he was transported to the hospital after having a medical emergency on stage, according to Mayor Lauren Garrett.
