Rachael Gunn, the Australian B-girl whose unorthodox routines at the Paris Olympics went viral, says she will no longer take part in elite breakdancing competitions.

"I was going to keep competing, for sure, but that seems a really difficult thing for me to do now, to approach a battle," Gunn went on to say. "I still dance and I still break but that’s like, in my living room with my partner.

Raygun the Australian breakdancer endured so much in 2024 after her viral Paris Olympics performance despite gaining so many fans in the process, from parodies on the Tonight Show to the hate she received. So maybe it’s no surprise that she announced her retirement from the sport.
