Sheel Seidler, widow of Padres owner Peter Seidler, has filed a lawsuit against two of her in-laws seeking control of the franchise.

Sheel Seidler sued her brothers in law, a suit including a note purported written by Peter Seidler, who died in 2023, listing Sheel and their children as his preference for future control of the team.

John Seidler was named the Padres’ control person last month, more than a year after his younger brother’s death
