Joined by a veritable who's who of Grammy stars, the band paid tribute to the city in the wake of the historic wildfires last month.

As Hollywood gathered for the 67th Grammy Awards, the festivities started with a tribute to Los Angeles following the recent devastating wildfires.

"It means the world to us." said Taylor Goldsmith. "These are our communities, and any possible way we can help... So this really was a very proud moment for us.”

In a tribute to firefighters and aid workers, Brad Paisley, Dawes, Sheryl Crowe, John Legend and Brittany Howard performed "I Love L.A."

The Grammys somewhat controversially decided that the show must go on tonight, just weeks after wildfires burned down thousands of homes and other structures in the Los Angeles area. The Recording Academy and others scaled back their festivities this weekend,

The L.A. band Dawes, whose members were seriously impacted by the Eaton fire, on what it meant to perform Newman's early-'80s classic.
