Dwayne Johnson spoke with 'Entertainment Weekly' about 'Moana 2,' masculinity and the 'superpower' of 'asking for help'

Moana is the first of three major Disney sequels planned for theaters over the next few years. Zootopia 2 is slated for release on Thanksgiving weekend next year. The Frozen 3 release date is currently slated for the same weekend in 2027. We also know there will be a fourth Frozen movie, though when that movie will come out has yet to be announced.

Actor Dwayne Johnson hit an emotional note while talking about his upcoming film, Moana 2. He shared his perspective of true masculinity which he believes lies in asking for help when needed. In talks with Entertainment Weekly about his character Maui from Moana and its sequel, Dwayne said, “The idea of asking for help is actually a superpower.”

"The strongest of people need help," Johnson tells EW. Dwayne Johnson — and by extension, his Moana character, demi-god Maui — looks strong enough to handle anything. But sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is ask for help.
