The last rites of veteran actor Delhi Ganesh took place on Monday morning in Chennai. His mortal remains were cremated with Air Force honours. Indian Air Force personnel paid tribute to Delhi Ganesh by placing an IAF ensign on him.

On Saturday night, popular Tamil actor Ganesan, fondly known as Delhi Ganesh, passed away at the age of 80. The actor’s son shared this news on social media leaving the entire Tamil film industry in grief.

Veteran actor ‘Delhi’ Ganesh, celebrated for his versatile performances in Tamil cinema, passed away late Saturday night at his residence in Ramapuram, following a brief illness. He was 80 years old.

Delhi Ganesh's last rites were performed in Chennai on the morning of November 11. The veteran was a former Air Force officer before becoming an actor. He was honoured by Indian Air Force who placed an IAF ensign on him.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin and a host of leaders and film personalities condoled his demise. The actor was 80 years old. He is survived by his wife and three children a son and two daughters.

The talented actor was suffering from age related ailments and breathed his last at his house in Ramapuram, Chennai.
