Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted traveled to Florida recently to visit U.S. president-elect Donald Trump and vice president-elect JD Vance. That is according to Beacon Journal news partner News 5 Cleveland's Morgan Trau.

J.D. Vance's seat in the U.S. Senate is on. Vice President-elect Vance has not yet resigned from his position representing Ohio in the Senate. But once he does, Ohio's Republican Gov. Mike DeWine will be tasked with appointing someone to fill the vacated seat.

There are many names being floated out there, but one name that seems to be talked about a lot is Lt. Gov. Jon Husted.
