TVA said after 4 p.m. the Nolichucky Dam "is stable and secure." Safety experts did a thorough review, TVA said, and water levels continue to fall. "We are notifying local emergency management agencies that we are transitioning to an advanced monitoring mode of the dam and exiting the emergency condition," the TVA wrote on X.

Saturday afternoon, TVA provided an update saying water levels are continuing to fall and that officials have determined the dam is stable and secure. “We are notifying local emergency management agencies that we are transitioning to an advanced monitoring mode of the dam and exiting the emergency condition,” TVA said.
