Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an assailant who barged into his Bandra house through his youngest son, Jehangir Ali Khan's room during the wee hours of Thursday (January 16). A man thought to be a citizen of Bangladesh was arrested in India's financial capital Mumbai on Sunday and is considered the prime suspect in the stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, police said.

Police revealed that Saif Ali Khan's attacker, Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, panicked after seeing his image on TV and planned to flee to Bangladesh, but was apprehended following the extensive investigation.
