This week, the latest path forecast has Hurricane Milton on a collision course with Florida’s Gulf Coast as a Category 3 hurricane. So what type of damage can those in the cone of uncertainty — which includes Manatee County — expect?

Milton is forecast to become a Category 4 hurricane, with winds of 145 mph before it makes landfall on Wednesday.

In an advisory on Sunday afternoon, National Hurricane Center (NHC) meteorologists said Milton is traveling across the central and eastern Gulf of Mexico toward the west coast of Florida. It's expected to make landfall by Wednesday as a Category 3 or higher along the west coast of the Tampa area, reports CBS News.
