Interim boss Lee Carsley has suggested Chelsea star Cole Palmer could play in a shock position for England. Palmer, who scored an impressive 25 goals across all competitions last season, has already bagged six goals this campaign, having netted four goals in his side's win over Brighton.

And last but certainly not least, new boss Enzo Maresca has been nominated for Manager of the Month after leading Chelsea to three wins and an (unfortunate) draw in September. Maresca is the first Chelsea manager to be up for this award since Thomas Tuchel three years ago, in 2021.
