Even last week against Michigan State, which ranks 26th in SP+ on defense, Ohio State put up just 38 — a disappointing number by their standards against a lesser opponent. That was partially because they churned out the clock and won the time of possession battle (35:43 to 27:17).

The tests continue to increase in the level of difficulty. This week Iowa comes to town with a revamped offense that is averaging almost 400 yards and 32 points per game under new offensive coordinator, Tim Lester. The Hawkeye’s calling card has always been defense, but can they slow down this OSU attack with so much firepower?
