Rocksteady has released the final piece of content for its beleaguered live-service game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

With the end of Braniac's reign of terror looming, the final battle of the game is followed by a short animated cutscene, showing that - gasp - the Batman we played as in the Arkham games is still alive and well, and was kept prisoner by Braniac this whole time.

As reported by The Gamer, the official ending has been relegated to a 2D cutscene with some flash animations, but this was also the way Rockstar handled the story sections for the game’s DLC. It’s also some real Poochy the Dog writing, but we should just share it here.

Rocksteady's troubled shooter will continue to operate and the offline mode is finally here, but there will be no further content updates after today.

One more update for the Suicide Squad game has been released by Rocksteady marking an end to the title's support after less than a year.

Kill the Justice League just received its final update, which along with the promised offline mode, adds an official ending to the game's story that wraps everything up in a tidy, if rather uninteresting,
