The Batman Part II was recently delayed to 2027, pushing the highly anticipated sequel back another year while also confirming that it won’t release until at least five years after the original, a move DC Studios co-head James Gunn doesn’t see as too concerning.

A day after it was officially announced that The Batman Part II had been delayed, James Gunn revealed the reason behind the decision which has angered the fans. The DC Studios co-chairman and co-CEO said the script for the sequel to the highly-acclaimed movie was yet to be completed which prompted the executives to take the call of pushing back the film by a year to 2027 from its initial release date.

In an interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Creature Commandos creator James Gunn and director Dean Lorey spoke about Batman’s inclusion in the latest episode. Gunn mentioned that the first edit of the episode featured more of Batman,
