If I simply try to tune it out, it becomes chaotic noise, unharmonious, and in all cases severely diminishes my enjoyment of the experience. To each their own, though.

Mar 27, 2022 · If she didn't say song I'd assume it's about breaking up. Maybe that is what it's about. Does she mean like "killing me softly" as in "letting me down easy"? I've loved this song since it came out (Fugees first CD was amazing, great talent in that group even though at least 2 of them were terrible people).

The original being "in a government yard in Trenchtown". That verse is repeated later in the song.

Jan 9, 2022 · The song reminded him of his mom. He hated his mom for letting him believe that he killed his dad, saying she cared about him, and then trying to kill him. He also loved (or at least wanted to love) her, because she's his mom. He said he hates the song, but I think it's a little more complicated than that. Like a bittersweet sort of enjoyment.
